Using SiteRay

You'll need:

  • A modern web browser - We currently support: Internet Explorer 6-7, Firefox 2-3 and Safari 3 on PC, Mac or Linux. Most other browsers work to a varying degree. Some features are unavailable on Internet Explorer 6, which is not recommended.
  • Internet access - We strongly recommend a broadband connection.

Server installation (Enterprise clients only)

You'll need one or more high performance web servers. The optimal configuration is usually 2 servers, one for the UI, another for running Tests. You may however use as many Test servers as you wish for redundancy or higher performance.

Unless you are expecting extremely high load, most clients can run SiteRay more than satisfactorily on a single higher performance web server.

Minimum hardware

  • Linux / *NIX compatible
  • 2GB RAM (4GB recommended)
  • 1.8Ghz single CPU (quad core recommended)
  • 4GB disc space (100GB+ recommended)

Reports can occupy between 250k (for small, 5 pages reports) to 100MB for a full size Enterprise report. Some features may use additional archives to identify changes in a website over time, and these require additional storage.
